Saipan is in condition 1 and bearing down for Typhoon Choi - Wan. Just like Guam we are in the path of Typhoons when they make their way through the Pacific. On Typhoon Choi Wan Saipan will be feeling it the hardest. The typhoon was moving at 6 mph and was 150 miles east-northeast of Saipan and 255 miles northeast of Guam as of 5 p.m. yesterday. Winds extended outward of the center are at 180 mph. Just like Saipan we on Guam are very used to typhoons and we know how to prepare for them. We hope it goes by quickly for Saipan.
