Two Lovers Point

Thursday, September 10, 2009 · 0 comments

When visiting Guam you should make it a point to visit "Two Lovers Point".  Local people believe that back when the Spaniards were on Guam there was a couple who wanted to get married but was denied by their parents. So to prove their love the couple then went to this cliff and tied their hair together and jumped off the cliff known now as Two Lovers Point.  When visiting this point you will be overwhelmed with the great view of our beautiful island. Here is a place you have to go to if you like Japanese style soups, fried chicken and fried rice! The place is called Fuji Ramen. They have two locations in Tumon and I'm gonna tell you right now its delicious!! During lunch sometimes its very hard to even find a table or chair. One shop opens its doors for 24hrs!! I recommend the Noodle Soups (Ramen). They come in all kinds of flavors like Curry, Chinese , Pork etc.....and with the Ramen you should also get the Karage Chicken (Japanese Fried Chicken). Guam Pulls Together!

One thing that I see hear on Guam that I don't see in other places that I have stayed or visited is that Guam pulls together during emergency and needy times.  It can be a typhoon or someone needing help for medical reasons, Guam will be there for you. On Guam when you cry for help for something very serious, someone will come to your assistance.  Guam is just like one big family!! More of The Guam Experience as time fly's by!

Friend Or Foe?

Monday, September 7, 2009 · 0 comments

All over the world people have ants, cockroaches and mosquitos, but here on Guam we have Gecko's.  Gecko's are these lizards that blend in with the jungle, backyard and also inside your home.  Some people call them a pest and some say they are a pet.  You can tell when you have a gecko in your home because they make this certain sound that right away you will know they are there. The sound sounds something like a chirp and they usually chirp about 3 times then it stops.  Gecko's are really harmless and can be quite cute at times.  Don't try to get rid of them because like roaches they always re appear!  More of The Guam Experience as time fly's by!
