I would like to know what are you interested in getting out of your readers. I got a huge list of things that I do and felt that there is a connection of friends and families out there on Guam. One of the topics I watching about is the military build up on Guam. I am one of those Federally funded employees that just might loose their jobs. Well in putting in 17 years with the department and 10 with the US Federal Naval Communications department, I am saddened that something or might just happened. I love my work but it also tells me that our island leaders are very un-organized to say a few. But then again Guam shouldn't have to face the middle road all the time. My family comes from a very strong but unique family root. Our Ancestor's once owned many lands and some are already historical landmarks. The Hagatna Cathedral and the Palomo Padre Park, Fonte Maina, Naval Hospital Rd, Anigua, Chalan Pago and other places is going to be a difficult challenge because many of our hiers have talked about the lands we currently owned or was over taken by the government. I am considred to be the 5th generation of the Palomo's. I never realized how important we are when such reunion was just recently held. I would say we are very proud of our cultural history. My father is a deceased Veteran, and we haven't forgotten the who is passed but we must sustain our future. If such land is to be used, every family member should be provided equal share but only to the living. I personally think this is what they would have wanted in all of the Palomo's. So far we have identified 8 family clans. That's 2/3rds of the island's population. I own a very small piece of land but I worked hard to get it as a single parent. If there is an opportunity to exchange land for the other or provide homes of those families who do not have land, at least make the offer to those of their children because this is what Guam people look forward in our family of generations. While our 4 and 5th generation in number tell us that we have done many good for the island so in hopes that one day the families who are struggling will get the support they need.
